1. Question what is the difference between Discount and Sale Price? How do you calculate these two amounts?

Discount is amount subtract from the cost or the price while Sale Price is the total amount

to calculate a discount:
example: 25% of 40

2 ways:

1. using a calculator: .25 x 40 = 10
2. using a mental percent:
100% = 40 divide it by 4 to get 25%
25% = 10

2. How do you calculate mentally percetages without going insane. What is 50% of 70?What is 35% of 80?

To calculate mental percent:
example:
a) 50% of 70

100%=70 divide it by 2 to get 50% or half
50%=35

so, 50% of 70 is 35

b) 35% of 80

100% = 80 ......look for an easier way to get 35%
get 25% first then add 10% so...
25%=20
+10%=8
35%=28

so, 35% of 80 is 28
