    The lcd is 12.
    2/4 + 2/3 = 6/12 + 8/12 = 14/12
So there were 14 orange cakes all together .

Fred gives Nana 1 3/4 of chocolate bar. But Nana return 1 1/2 of the chocolate bar. So, what fraction is the part that Nana take?
    the lcd is 4.
    1 3/4 - 1 1/2 = 1 3/4 - 1 2/4 = 1/4
So Nana only has 1/4 of the chocolate bar left .
Aww poor Nana . she's too kind hahah
