Hammers Scribe

In class today we learned how to figure out what the "c" is in a triangle. If you are confused I"ll show you a picture.(this is all coming out of my head so I dont know if this is right). Why are we trying to find "C" you ask??? Well we are trying to find C to make life easier and to put more questions in our math exam AHAH jk. Harbeck told us a story about a person named Pythagoras and he was sailing a boat. He wanted to get to one place to another. Since it probably took long to get from point "A" to "B" he would have just cut through. Here is another picture if you dont get it. AND he needed to know how far it was or else he would pull some bermuda triangle on his crew and be lost forever. AHAHAH jk.

There now I will show you how to figure out what "C" is.

  • Please remember that anything I might of said about Pythagoras was Harbeck's revisionist math history. He probably liked to sail but enjoyed triangles more.

    Nice post.
